The World's Biggest Monomer Refinery，Over One Hundred of XCMG’s Machineries，24 Hours Non-stop Operating，On Full Power

Following the delivery of the third XCMG 4,000-ton crawler crane which also named "The World No.1 Crane", XCMG crawler cranes have achieved impressive results in Africa. In Nigeria, XCMG's 650-ton crawler cranes and 800-ton crawler cranes made a formidable combination on hoisting the desalted water tank equipment of the crude-oil distillation unit.

It is understood that the equipment being hoisted is the first-level desalted water tank equipment of the crude-oil distillation unit area (CDU) in the Dangote Refinery Project, Nigeria. Total height of the equipment is 36.57m, the diameter is 4.2m, and the total weight is 370 tons.

Nigeria is savannah climate. In October, it is affected by the southwest monsoon blowing from the Gulf of Guinea, the area is experiencing the alternation of dry and wet seasons, and those factors have caused uncertainties for the hoisting operation. While Nigeria is "Reopening while Suffering Pandemic", risks of contracting COVID are remained.

Under the pressures from epidemic prevention and project construction, the XCMG team in Nigeria Dangote project has done a great job in safety and epidemic prevention. On the other hand, the team has established a complete equipment commissioning test before construction of the project. The team also calibrated the light load value, arranged electric hydraulic engineers on site in case of any emergencies during the hoisting, and provided clients with detailed parameters for references.

The hoisting is carried out by a 650-ton crawler crane and an 800-ton crawler crane at the same time. On site, XCMG equipment are operating well. Hoisting and rotating are very smooth and consistent. The hoisting equipment are perfectly hoisted to the designated installation position. The hoisting operation achieves a brilliant success. The excellent performance of XCMG equipment is once again praised by clients and project construction contractors.

Nearby, the XCMG-V7 concrete machinery is showing its magic. Under the tough environment, the Dangote project site has water shortage and unstable sand land. However, the construction team successfully overcomes the difficulties. They once again demonstrate to the world that China as the “Infrastructure Maniac” is powerful.

On site, several XCMG pump trucks are extending their arms, hundreds of XCMG mixer trucks are driving back and forth to support the uninterrupted construction. After continuously pouring 6000 square meters under high intensity, XCMG team successfully accomplishes the concrete pouring task.

Nigeria, an Africa country with rich energy resources, is the biggest oil producer and exporter in Africa. The Dangote project is the biggest XCMG's project in Africa. Since 2016, nearly 100 XCMG employees have participated in the project, maintaining more than 2,000 XCMG cranes, trucks, concrete machineries, piling machineries, scraper machineries, road machineries and other full range of XCMG products, making them a world-class beautiful view of Chinese equipment on the refining and chemical construction sites.
